Oil Spill Advisory Committee to Hold Public Meeting

The Interior Department today announced that the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Public Advisory Committee will hold a virtual public meeting on Monday, Jan. 22.  Agenda items include discussion of the Gulf Watch Alaska Long-Term Research and Monitoring Program’s budget reallocation proposal and a public comment session.

Established in 1992 following a court-approved settlement between the United States government and the State of Alaska, the Committee advises the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council on decisions relating to the allocation of funds and the conduct of restoration and monitoring activities related to the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
