POTUS Announces Members of Science & Tech. Advisory Council

President Biden on Wednesday announced the selection of 30 individuals to serve on the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, including White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Eric Lander (Co-Chair)former Commerce Sec. Penny Pritzker, and former NOAA Administrator Kathryn Sullivan.

The Council is comprised of external advisors and tasked with making science, technology, and innovation policy recommendations to the President and the White House.

The Energy Dept. today announced that PCAST will hold virtual public meetings on Sept. 28-29.  Agenda topics include strengthening U.S. science and technology global leadership for the 21st century, the benefits of investments in science and technology and models and mechanisms for future U.S. economic development and growth, and agency approaches to new resources, innovation, workforce, and competition, with Day 2 focused on pandemic-related discussions.
