Hydrographic Services Review Panel to Hold Public Meeting

NOAA today announced that the Hydrographic Services Review Panel will hold a virtual public meeting on Sept. 1-2.

Agenda items include offshore wind energy and data sharing for ocean mapping and technology in waters 40 meters and shallower, an update on plans to address and implement the Alaska Coastal Mapping Strategy and National Strategy for Mapping, Exploring, and Characterizing the U.S. EEZ, including the Standard Ocean Mapping Protocol.

The Panel is a Federal advisory committee that advises the NOAA Administrator on oceanographic and marine technologies relating to operations, research and development, and data dissemination pertaining to hydrographic surveying, shoreline surveying, nautical charting, water level, current, geodetic, geospatial, and geomagnetic measurements, and other oceanographic/marine-related sciences.
