NOAA Science Advisory Board to Hold Public Meeting

NOAA today announced that its Science Advisory Board will hold a public webinar meeting on Tuesday, July 20 and Thursday, July 22.

The July meeting will include NOAA and Tsunami Science & Technology Advisory Panel updates, review of the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research review report, SAB priorities for the Weather Research Study update, NOAA’s response to the SAB review of the NOAA Precipitation Prediction Grand Challenge Plan, and the Environmental Information Services Working Group’s report to Congress.

The SAB is the only Federal Advisory Committee with the responsibility to advice the Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administration on long and short-range strategies for research, education, and application of science to resource management and environmental assessment and prediction.
