EPA Announces Renewal of Great Lakes Advisory Board

The Environmental Protection Agency today announced the 2-year renewal of the Great Lakes Advisory Board, which provides advice and recommendations on matters related to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and domestic matters related to implementation of the U.S.-Canada Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.

The Board’s primary objectives are to provide advice and recommendations on Great Lakes protection and restoration activities and long-term goals, objectives, and priorities for Great Lakes protection and restoration, as well as any other issues identified by the Great Lakes Interagency Task Force/Regional Working Group.

Members of the Board represent Great Lake interests including environmental groups, industry, business groups, agricultural groups, citizen groups, environmental justice groups, foundations, academia, and state, local, and tribal governments.
