World Economic Forum to Hold Virtual Ocean Dialogues

With the postponement of the 2020 UN Ocean Conference that had been scheduled for June, the World Economic Forum and Friends of Ocean Action will curate a series of Virtual Ocean Dialogues on June 1-5 in order to “maintain momentum in the face of COVID-19 to continue working for ambitious and urgent global action for a healthy ocean.”  Those interested in participating can request access here.

Topics to be addressed include the following: Sustainable Blue Economy: Finance, Ocean Solutions Sprint, and Sustainable Ocean Economy; Restoring Ocean Life: Setting the Stage for Ocean Action, Stemming the Pollution Tide, Global Priorities for Ocean Protection, The High Seas: Operating within the Global Commons, and A Digital Ocean: Data and Science; and Beyond Ocean: Nourishing Billions, Strengthening Ocean and Community Resilience to Climate Change, and Communities Taking Action.
