UN Announces Postponement of Climate Change Conference

Due to the global pandemic, the United Nations today announced the decision by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s COP Bureau, the United Kingdom, and Italy to postpone the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference that had been scheduled to take place in Glasgow in November.

Dates for a rescheduled conference in Glasgow next year will be announced “in due course” after further discussion, with the UN stating that “[w]e will continue to work with all involved to increase climate ambition, build resilience and lower emissions.”
