Oceans in Spotlight at Annual Symposium and Champion Luncheon

Monmouth University’s Urban Coast Institute today hosted the 15th annual “Future of the Ocean Symposium and Champion of the Ocean Awards Luncheon.”

Asst. Sec. of Commerce for Oceans & Atmosphere/NOAA Deputy Admin. Tim Gallaudet, Ørsted U.S. Offshore Wind Head of Market Strategies and New Projects-US Clint Plummer, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Port Department Deputy Director Bethann Rooney, Conservation Law Foundation President Bradley Campbell, and Rutgers University Center for Ocean Observing Leadership Co-Director Scott Glenn presented their perspectives on future ocean use and conservation.  Following the presentations, Gallaudet, Campbell, and Glenn were respectively honored with a National Champion of the Ocean Award, Regional Champion of the Ocean Award, and Coastal and Ocean Leadership Award.
