The National Ocean Policy Coalition today submitted comments on the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Draft Programmatic Damage Assessment and Restoration Plan and Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PDARP/PEIS). The Coalition’s comments focused on language in the Draft PDARP/PEIS that references spatial planning (without defining or addressing it with specificity) as well as the potential establishment or expansion of marine protected areas.
