USCG Updates Regs to Reflect Renaming of Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America

The Coast Guard today announced its amendment of regulations effective immediately to update the name of the “Gulf of Mexico” to the “Gulf of America.”  The action was taken pursuant to President Trump’s Jan. 20, 2025 Executive Order on Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness, including the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
