In 2010, it is estimated that:

  • Nearly 12 million Americans will go snorkeling
  • Over 3 million Americans will participate in scuba diving
  • Nearly 6 million Americans will use personal watercrafts, such as jet skis
  • Nearly 4 million Americans will participate in surfing
  • Over 2.6 million Americans will enjoy water skiing12
