NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service today announced that the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will hold a public meeting on Jan. 29 – Feb. 1 in New Orleans, LA.
The meeting will include an update from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on wind energy development in the Gulf of Mexico and opportunities to advance equity and environmental justice in Gulf of Mexico fisheries, as well as a NMFS update on the National Seafood Strategy Regional Implementation Plan.
