The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Gulf Coast Restoration today announced three Notice of Funding Opportunities for the RESTORE Act’s Direct Component and Centers of Excellence Research Grants Program. The funding opportunities will remain open through Oct. 31, 2023.
The Direct Component funding opportunities specifically pertain to construction and real property acquisition activities (including environmental restoration projects) and non-construction activities. Eligible applicants are limited to the Alabama Gulf Coast Recovery Council or its designee, 23 Florida counties, Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, 20 Louisiana parishes, the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, and the Office of the Governor of Texas or its appointee.
The Centers of Excellence funding opportunity addresses the establishment of Centers of Excellence and support for Center of Excellence science, technology, and monitoring activities. Eligible applicants are limited to the Florida Institute of Oceanography, Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, Mississippi Department of Environment Quality, and the Office of the Governor of Texas or its appointee.
