President Biden today announced his intent to nominate Tommy Beaudreau to serve as Deputy Interior Secretary, Winnie Stachelberg to serve as Assistant Interior Secretary for Policy, Management, and Budget, and Shannon Estenoz to serve as Assistant Interior Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks.
Beaudreau has most recently served as a lawyer at Latham & Watkins, LLP, with previous experience including positions as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Interior Secretary, Director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, and Acting Assistant Interior Secretary for Land and Minerals Management.
Estenoz currently serves as Principal Deputy Assistant Interior Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks, with previous experience as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Policy for The Everglades Foundation, Director of Everglades Restoration Initiatives and Executive Director of the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force at the U.S. Interior Department, Executive Director of the Environmental and Land Use Law Center, Everglades Program Director at the World Wildlife Fund, Sun Coast Regional Director of the National Parks Conservation Association, and Co-Chair of the Everglades Coalition.
Stachelberg’s experience includes positions as Executive Vice President for External Affairs at the Center for American Progress, Political Director at Human Rights Campaign, and Budget Analyst at the Office of Management and Budget.
