NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service today announced that it will hold 7 public hearings on its proposed designation of 16 island units comprising 97 square miles of critical habitat for five Indo-Pacific coral species.
Six in-person meetings will be held in Guam (Jan. 16), the Northern Mariana Islands (Jan. 18, 23, and 25), and American Samoa (Jan. 18 and 23), with a virtual hearing held on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
