NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service earlier this month announced that the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council will hold a public webinar on Monday, Mar. 29 to receive a presentation and provide input on how to make fisheries and protected resources more resilient to climate change, including changes in management and conservation measures, and improve science, monitoring, and cooperative research.
President Biden’s Jan. 2021 Executive Order on “Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad” directs NOAA to collect input on these two items from fishermen, regional ocean councils, fishery management councils, scientists, and other stakeholders.
