NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service today announced its approval for Hilcorp Alaska and Eni Operating Co. to take small numbers seals incidental to ice road and ice trail construction, maintenance, and operations during the ice-covered season in Alaska’s North Slope from 2020-2025. The activities being sought for authorization will facilitate access to the companies’ oil and gas facilities in the coastal Beaufort Sea.
