The West Coast Ocean Alliance recently released additional information on its upcoming annual meeting, to be held Dec. 3-4 in Tacoma, WA. Day 1 will include a West Coast ocean data public workshop, while Day 2 will feature the West Coast Ocean Alliance public meeting.
The meetings will include federal, state, and tribal government officials and technical experts for discussions on regional efforts related to ocean management, intergovernmental coordination, ocean science, and data.
Specific agenda items for the public meeting include updates on the Alliance, West Coast Ocean Data Portal, and engagement with federal, state, and tribal partners on the West Coast, brief updates from stakeholders on West Coast activities related to ocean management, science, data, and outreach, and breakout discussions regarding regional goals, outcomes, partnerships, and next steps pertaining to areas including stakeholder engagement and data activities.
The West Coast Ocean Alliance is a regional ocean partnership, whose predecessors include the West Coast Ocean Partnership, West Coast Governors Alliance on Ocean Health, and West Coast Governors Agreement on Ocean Health.
