The Northeast Regional Planning Body today announced the release of the draft Northeast regional ocean plan for public review and comment through Monday, July 25. In conjunction with today’s release, the RPB also published a draft Northeast baseline economic and natural resource assessment, and over 3,000 new maps of marine life (including draft synthesis summary map products), new and updated habitat maps, new national security data, and new demographic and economic data baseline assessment maps were uploaded to the Northeast ocean data portal.
Established in 2012 pursuant to the National Ocean Policy Executive Order, the Northeast RPB was formed to develop a coastal and marine plan for Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
