NOPC Submits Comments on NMFS’ Draft Climate Science Strategy

The National Ocean Policy Coalition today submitted comments on the National Marine Fisheries Service’s Draft Climate Science Strategy. The Coalition’s comments focused on concerns surrounding language in the draft strategy regarding the role of the National Ocean Policy and its ecosystem-based management component in NMFS activities, including references to the National Ocean Policy as a mandate and NMFS’ reliance upon the National Ocean Policy as the basis for its EBM strategy.
