The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body (RPB) has released a Draft Mid-Atlantic Regional Ocean Planning Framework for public review and comment. Comments are due by Tuesday, April 15, 2014.
The Draft Framework, which the announcement says is “intended to provide guideposts for how the…RPB would move forward with regional planning,” includes a proposed initial geographic focus, vision, principles, and goals, objectives, and example actions. The RPB says that details regarding other public input opportunities including a webinar, public listening sessions, and a Mid-Atlantic RPB meeting expected in Spring 2014 will be announced here.
The Mid-Atlantic RPB was formally established in April 2013 and is tasked under the National Ocean Policy Executive Order with developing a coastal and marine spatial plan for Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
