The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body, formally established in April 2013 and tasked under the National Ocean Policy with developing a Coastal and Marine Spatial Plan for Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, has announced that it will hold its inaugural meeting on Sept. 24 and 25 at Monmouth University. The meeting will take place in the Wilson Hall Auditorium at 400 Cedar Avenue in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
According to the RPB, the meeting agenda is under development. Topics to be discussed will include a timeline for regional ocean planning and associated products, initial draft regional ocean planning goals and the geographic focus, mechanisms for engaging stakeholders throughout the process, and next steps regarding data/information and operational considerations.
