The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body, comprised of federal, state, and tribal officials representing Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, has released a summary of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Ocean Planning Workshop held in early April in Arlington, VA. The two-day invitation-only event was convened by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean and federal agencies involved with ocean planning in the Mid-Atlantic.
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body has been established pursuant to the 2010 National Ocean Policy Executive Order, which requires the establishment of regional planning bodies and coastal and marine spatial plans in all nine coastal regions of the U.S.
